From The Vault

Real frames. Real dates. Pulled from the archive in order — the road, exactly as it happened.

Every entry, in order

FROM THE VAULT is the spine of the whole story — one scene per entry, dated and placed, running from Night One in 2019 to the road today. The deepest stories stay in the book: OUTGROW YESTERDAY, coming soon.

Night One — Where It All Started

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." A 50-year-old man leaves Las Vegas that morning on a loaded bicycle, fights 30-mile headwinds gusting to 50, makes about 30 miles all day, and camps in an abandoned mining camp — a ghost town with the lights left on. He did not quit that night.

The Sky Was on Fire

August 15, 2020. Colorado. That speck on the shoulder is him. The road drops into a valley filling with wildfire smoke, and the only way forward was through it. The easy years teach you nothing — you find out what you're made of when the sky is burning and you ride anyway. What that summer actually cost stays in the book.

Identity Before Evidence

October 8, 2019. Eleven days into the first tour: sunrise through the tent door, a visor, a grin — and a man watermarking his photos like a brand before he had a single follower. No audience. No sponsors. No proof. He acted like the man he intended to become, and let the evidence catch up.

Day 13. No Plan B.

Thirteen days into the first tour, the California coast gave him the only curriculum that matters: keep pedaling. No support car. No shortcuts. The coast doesn't care about your schedule — it cares whether you stay.

Two Years. Same Road.

Same bike. Same trailer. Same man who refused to quit — two years ago, and still refusing. You don't break free once. You break free daily.
